Latin text Nativitas gloriosae Virginis Mariae, ex semine Abrahae, orta de tribu Juda, clara ex stirpe David. Alleluia. Corde et animo Christo canamus gloriam, in hac sacra solemnitate praecelsae Genitricis Dei, Mariae. Alleluia.

English translation The nativity of the glorious Virgin Mary, of the seed of Abraham, arising out of the tribe of Judah from the lineage of David. Alleluia. With heart and soul, let us sing glory to Christ, in this sacred solemnity of the most exalted Mother of God, Mary. Alleluia.
