Latin text Nocte surgentes, vigilemus omnes. Semper in psalmis, meditemur atque Viribus totis. Domino canamus dulciter hymnos. Ut pio regi pariter canentes Cum suis sanctis mereamur aulam Ingredi caeli, simul et beatam ducere vitam. Praestet hoc nobis deitas beata Patris ac nati pariterque Sancti. Spiritus cuius reboat in omni gloria mundo.

English translation Let us all rise and keep watch at night, Always singing psalms, and let us reflect With all our strength. Let us sing sweetly Hymns unto the Lord. So that, singing together to the holy king, So that we, with his saints, may attain his mansion, The gate of heaven, and also lead A holy life. May he grant us this, blessed godhead Of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Whose glory resounds throughout the world.
