Italian text Queste lacrime mie se ben candide son, se ben lucenti; pur son piene d'affanni e di lamenti. O quanti stratij amore lor diede, oimé, nel core, quanto barbare pene al salir fra le vene. Basti sol dir che dal mio cor che langue han passato al venir strade di sangue.

Dutch translation Deze tranen van mij, al zijn ze puur en schitterend, zijn vol zorgen en klachten. O, hoeveel kwelling gaf liefde, helaas, in mijn hart, hoeveel barbaarse pijnen door mijn aderen. Het volstaat om vanuit mijn wegkwijnend hart te zeggen dat ze door straten van bloed zijn gekomen.

English translation These tears of mine, though they are pure and beautiful, are full of worries and complaints. Oh, how much torment love, alas, put in my heart, how many barbaric pains run through my veins. Suffice it from my languishing heart to say they've come through streets of blood.
