Edition notes: Transcribed from Offertoria quaternis, quinis, senis, octonisque vocibus... p. 13 / Mascardi, Rome, 1681. Transposed down a major third for SATB. Original note-values and mensuration signs retained. The figured Basso segeunte in Mascardi's edition which bears the instruction 'alla quarta bassa', has not been included. The ideal performance for Stile Antico works was a cappella, as it would continue to be throughout the Baroque period.
