Italian text Mentre gira costei, Ora veloci or tardi, Fieri e soavi suoi amorosi sguardi, Sento ch’amor, qual timido angelletto, Vola, fugge e rivola nel mio petto. Deh, ver me volgi omai Sempre sereni rai, Che farà nel mio core Suo dolce nido Amore.

English translation While she sends, sometimes swift, sometimes tardy her wild and tender loving looks, I feel that Love, like a bashful cherub, takes flight, flees and flutters in my breast. Ah, who now sends to me her ever shining rays, so that in my heart Love can make his sweet nest.
