Latin.png Latin text

Vir linguosus non dirigetur in terra;
virum injustum mala capient in interitu.
Cognovi, Domine, quia facies judicium inopis,
et vindictam pauperum. (c.f. Ps. 139:12-13)
Viri sanguinum et dolosi non dimidiabunt dies suos;
ego autem in te sperabo, Domine. (Ps. 54:24b)
Laudans invocabo nomen tuum,
et ab inimicis meis salvus ero. (Ps. 17:4)

English.png English translation

The deceitful man shall not be established in the land;
the unjust man shall be caught in destruction.
I know, O Lord, that you will execute judgment for the needy,
and vindication for the poor.
Men of blood and deceit shall not live out half their days;
but I will trust in you, O Lord.
I will call upon your name with praise,
and I shall be saved from my enemies.
