Barbara Rosen is a lifelong resident of Brooklyn whose main passion is rescuing cats and offering them for adoption (www.BarbaraTheCatLady.org). She also writes stories (and has had many published) and SATB music and rounds.
Barbara Rosen has lived in NYC for her entire life, choosing Brooklyn as a young adult. There she has maintained a private, in-house shelter for unwanted animals (now almost always cats: www.barbarathecatlady.org) for over 53 years.  
 
She is a retired public elementary school teacher, artist, published writer (stories, articles, poems), gardener and trained singer. She began composing after joining the Renaissance Street Singers (www.streetsingers.org), an inspiration for several poems and compositions.

Life
