The propers for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (August 15) were revised when Rome formally defined the dogma of the Assumption in 1950. In Byrd's time they were as follows:

Introit: Gaudeamus omnes-Eructavit
Gradual: Propter veritatem-Audi filia
Alleluia verse: Assumpta est Maria-Alleluia
Offertory: Assumpta est Maria
Communion: Optimam partem elegit
