French text Que gagnez vous à vouloir différer, Le bien que j'ai envers vous mérite De vous servir ne me puis retirer, Contentez donc la mienne volonté, Pouvoir avez, moyen et liberté, Donc n'y cherchez désormais plus d'excuse De cruauté la raison vous accuse.

English translation What do you gain by seeking to delay The favor that you rightly should me pay? From serving you I cannot turn away So satisfy the want that fills my day, The pow’r you have and means, you need but say, So look no more henceforth to be excused, Of cruelty will you justly be accused.
