Latin text Henrico de Vechtelde, Patricio Brunsvicensi Quos resonat tremulis titubans HENRICE labellis Ausonico1 dulces carmine Musa sonos Pectore gaudenti capias ac munere tali Semper MEILANDI quaeso memento tui.

German translation Heinrich von Vechtelde, Braunschweiger Patrizier Die süßen Klänge, welche die zögernde Muse, Heinrich, mit bebenden Lippen in einem lateinischen Lied erklingen lässt, mögest du mit fröhlichem Herzen aufnehmen. Und durch eine solche Gabe erbitte ich: erinnere dich immer deines Meiland. Translation by Gerhard Weydt
