Clementine Vulgate (Psalm 122)Latin text 1 Canticum graduum. |
Church of England 1662 Book of Common PrayerEnglish translation 1 Unto thee lift I up mine eyes: O thou that dwellest in the heavens. 2 Behold, even as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress: even so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until he have mercy upon us. 3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are utterly despised. 4 Our soul is filled with the scornful reproof of the wealthy: and with the despitefulness of the proud. |
Douay-Rheims BibleEnglish translation 1 To thee have I lifted up my eyes, who dwellest in heaven. 2 Behold as the eyes of servants are on the hands of their masters, As the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress: so are our eyes unto the Lord our God, until he have mercy on us. 3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us: for we are greatly filled with contempt. 4 For our soul is greatly filled: we are a reproach to the rich, and contempt to the proud. |

Ének a fölmenetekre
