2  Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi, voce mea ad Dominum deprecatus sum.
3  Effundo in conspectu ejus orationem meam, et tribulationem meam ante ipsum pronuntio:
4  in deficiendo ex me spiritum meum, et tu cognovisti semitas meas.
In via hac qua ambulabam absconderunt laqueum mihi.
5  Considerabam ad dexteram, et videbam, et non erat qui cognosceret me:
  periit fuga a me, et non est qui requirat animam meam.
6  Clamavi ad te, Domine; dixi: Tu es spes mea, portio mea in terra viventium.
7  intende ad deprecationem meam, quia humiliatus sum nimis.
  Libera me a persequentibus me, quia confortati sunt super me.
8  Educ de custodia animam meam ad confitendum nomini tuo; me exspectant
justi donec retribuas mihi.

1  I cried unto the Lord with my voice: yea, even unto the Lord did I make my supplication.
2  I poured out my complaints before him: and shewed him of my trouble.
3  When my spirit was in heaviness thou knewest my path:

in the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
4  I looked also upon my right hand: and saw there was no man that would know me.
5  I had no place to flee unto: and no man cared for my soul.
6  I cried unto thee, O Lord, and said: Thou art my hope, and my portion in the land of the living.
7  Consider my complaint: for I am brought very low.
8  O deliver me from my persecutors: for they are too strong for me.
9  Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto thy Name: which thing if thou wilt grant me, then shall the righteous resort unto my company.

To God I made my sorrows known,
From God I sought relief;
In long complaints before His throne
I poured out all my grief.

My soul was overwhelmed with woes,
My heart began to break;
My God, who all my burden knows,
He knows the way I take.

On every side I cast mine eye,
And found my helpers gone;
While friends and strangers passed me by,
Neglected or unknown.

 


Then did I raise a louder cry,
And called thy mercy near,
"Thou art my portion when I die;
Be Thou my refuge here."

Lord, I am brought exceeding low,
Now let thine ear attend,
And make my foes who vex me know
I've an almighty Friend.

From my sad prison set me free,
Then shall I praise thy name,
And holy men shall join with me
Thy kindness to proclaim.

When my spirit failed me, then thou knewest my paths. In this way wherein I walked, they have hidden a snare for me.
I looked on my right hand, and beheld, and there was no one that would know me. Flight hath failed me: and there is no one that hath regard to my soul.
I cried to thee, O Lord: I said: Thou art my hope, my portion in the land of the living.
Attend to my supplication: for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the just wait for me, until thou reward me.

4  Schaue zur Rechten und siehe! da will mich niemand kennen. Ich kann nicht entfliehen; niemand nimmt sich meiner Seele an.
5  HERR, zu dir schreie ich und sage: Du bist meine Zuversicht, mein Teil im Lande der Lebendigen.
6  Merke auf meine Klage, denn ich werde sehr geplagt; errette mich von meinen Verfolgern, denn sie sind mir zu mächtig.
7  Führe meine Seele aus dem Kerker, daß ich danke deinem Namen. Die Gerechten werden sich zu mir sammeln, wenn du mir wohltust.
